Jessica Supports Ending Violence Against Women on White Ribbon Day
On November 25, the United Nations’ Elimination of Violence Against Women Day and White Ribbon Day, Jessica and other Labour MPs stood united in their support to end violence against women.
Every week in the UK, 2 women are killed as a result of domestic violence. There are countless victims of sexual assault, rape, incest, forced marriage, FGM, trafficking, and honour killing.
Jessica said “We must make every effort to try and eradicate all forms of violence against women. It is not acceptable in this day and age for women to be subjected to domestic violence, honour killings and other forms of abuse and violence. That is why I support White Ribbon Day and why I wholeheartedly support the Home Office’s new strategy, “Together We Can End Violence Against Women and Girls.”
