Jessica was proud to welcome the Prince of Wales to Magor brewery 21 November 2011

Jessica joined other dignitaries, AB Inbev management and, most importantly, the workers in welcoming HRH The Prince of Wales to the Magor brewery site.

The Prince visited the site to see for himself the amazing JUPITER programme the workers have done to reduce their carbon footprint.  Jessica joined forces with the workers and management of Magor brewery in asking the Prince to visit the site and see what the employees have achieved in their ambitious programme.

This programme, led by workers, asked themselves and colleagues what could be done to brewery processes that would save water and cut carbon emissions, without affecting the quality of their products. This year alone, the brewery cut CO2 emissions by 9.6% in 2011 and water consumption by 10%.

Jessica said “I immediately supported the brewery’s idea in inviting the Prince of Wales to the site. The Prince has been a long campaigner for environmental causes, and I thought the workers should be congratulated for their efforts in reducing their carbon footprint. I am proud of the workers for what they have achieved and honoured by the Prince’s acceptance in coming to visit the site.”
